Passage de Grade for 2009

Passage de Grade Protocol

The following will make it easier for you to enjoy the Examination for your next Level.

You should prepare yourself with the following items:

·         Your sporting Passport

·         A clean uniform

·         All of your equipment

The Passage De Grade is an Examination which is divided in the following three parts:

Written Test= 20%

Physical Test = 70%

Learning Test = 10%

The passage de Grade starts on Friday and everyone testing will partake in the seminar since it starts your exam. This part in the Learning portion of your Exam, so if you arrive late or any other excuse immerges other than an act from God. You will be deducted 10 %.   So remember to be early to the training sessions.

Before the Seminar begins,  you should present your sporting passport to the head instructor. He is the one responsible for the Exam and for your passport. There will be several examining Professeurs during your training. They are looking at the Following:

·         Physical ability

·         Knowledge of your current rank and the rank you are testing for

·         Attitude

During the first day Adult students will be given a Written Exam in which it will be turned in on the second Day of the Passage de Grade.

You should be ready in full uniform with your equipment in hand. For Adults you should turn in your Written portion of the exam the second day of the Passage de Grade.

On the third Day the physical Exam Begins at 12 pm. Arrive early to the place where the Examination is going to take place. If you are going to be late call your Professeur to be excused and to see if the head instructor will allow you to test.

When the Examination starts everyone should line up according to rank and teaching status. Salute in unison and sit in an open Circle.

Everyone according to rank will be called in a properly manner. Once you and your partner are called you will salute the examining board and will perform you examination.

During the examination do not talk or laugh nor stand up and walk around, because if you do you will be asked to leave the exam. Respect is given to all, so show your respect. If you have to go to the bathroom stand up and salute the board and walk around the circle.

If you start drinking water you are showing lack of respect to the rest of your peers and you will be asked to leave. There will be a 20 minute break during the exam, where a water break and bathroom break will take place.

Now once the passage de grade starts and a student needs to leave those students has just failed the exam. So Parents plan for at least a three hour day. Depending on the number of students the glove rank testing it can take up to five hours.

Once the last zipotero has taken the exam then everyone will line up salute and the awards begin.

Then group’s shots can be taken and photos with the Professeurs as well. No video Recording is allowed.

NOTE:

If you do not have you Sporting Passport it my be for the following reasons:

  1. If you lost it (the replacement is $50.00 made out to IGDDRS)
  2. If you were never given one it may be because you did not register (So you need to Register, you would not be testing if you are not registered)
  3. If you are registered and was not given one (It may be because you never turned in your passport photos)
