Women's Anti-Rape Gathering
The gathering and joining forces of the local United Independent School
District, Law Enforcement , Guardian Angels
and Danse De Rue Savate was a great experience for everyone with the same common
goals.
After six moths of Planning the turn of events went well. This past week we had another rape incident in Laredo which caused a stir with the media and the local Police.
We had a show of people that supported the cause and are interested in having further discussions about Self-Defense and vigilance in general.
We walked the mall Del Norte and we were greeted by Laredoans with a sense of joy to see that we are joining forces and helping combat the rapist who is now know as the North Side Rapist.
I want to thank personally President of the school Board of UISD , Mr. John Bruce , Sheriff Elect Martin Cuellar , Assitant District Attorney and Guest , Chief of Police of Uvalde in showing a support and in the future we can have a greater force in combating these types of crimes.

Awareness. The deferent tactical avenues for walking with a cell phone, ipod and
the all of the worldly distractions that Predators look for and we all take for
granted.

We all greatly appreciated Webb County District Attorney's Office by helping us understand the need to report and how to identify the problems of sexual abuse.
Assistant District Attorney Jorge Trevino , spoke about the Laws and the happenings of how a case is built and the protection of the victims.

Sheriff
Elect Martin Cuellar will take office on January 2009. He showed his enthusiasim
about teaching self-Defense and helping out the Future Groups of the Gaurdian
Angels and Savate in General.
He showed his concerns with the current rape crisis, talked about the laws and how in the future under his administration more vigilance will be seen.
