It was good to see everyone
again. We had some faces from the past to pop in to say hello, train and visit
with us for a while. When I say faces from the past, I’m talking ten plus years
ago. Just goes to show that when you spend time training in Danse De Rue Savate
that memories that last a lifetime are created. It was hard to believe it has
been over 10 years since we stopped training in Irving.
After that, some of us had lost contact with one another. I believe it meant so much to those that trained in the past at the locations we had in Irving was the work environment. The places we trained along with the teaching methods of Prof. promoted a good learning atmosphere where it was fun and the same time had to have some dedication.
For the most part, these locations had no mirrors for us to admire ourselves and in many cases had no or little heat in winter and just a big fan in the summer. That I believe promoted an atmosphere where the ones that truly wanted to learn were the ones that hung around for an extended period of time. Hopefully it is a shorter period of time before we all catch up again.
