Colorado Springs Rocky Mountain Rock & Roll Seminar
This Seminar was a great eye opener of all sorts. Being together with martial artists with one goal in mind, LEARNING. It is great to see that in today's egoistic world of martial arts exists Instructors, Guru's, Sifu's and Professeur's that care about reality and keeping the number one goal in mind Brotherhood/Fraternity and reality when training. Maha Guru Muda Bob Vanetta along
with his Colorado Rough Rider's, showed a great open arm's attitude to several
different Martial artists
From using your elbows in an empty hands position to utilizing a stick was a quick reality check. No matter what expertise level you were in, Everyone realized the power of an elbow. Quickly understanding its destructive power is overwhelming to the novice and places a smile on the advanced martial artist. Along with what I call the magnum of all hits Coup D'Tete, Cabezada, Coup d'boul , Head butt. Will place a good heavy remembrance on any attacker every time they look in the mirror, as well as it is 90% the quick ender to all bouts. It was excellent to see the same attitude of survival and a no nonsense tolerant techniques. We were also joined by Sifu Rene along with his crew. We all had a good spirit and laughed while training hard. The essence of pure fighting was the aura of the seminar, the straight forward attitude of Bledek with MGM Bob Vanetta. Is always good to see with the flow from a block of a stick to the cracking of the opponents head to a slam/bam answer. Nonetheless, these systems of American Silat: Tongkat and Bledek in my opinion, are a quick response to an egoistic attackers answer. An Attacker will quickly realize that he just made a beautiful swan dive into an empty pool. Keeping in mind that any attack has thousands of answers to it. You still need to understand basics and train with a type of attitude that every opponent has a stronger skill level than you. So, training should be done with a great attitude and a good sense of direction.
Again, I want to thank everyone at the seminar for allowing me to show a bit of an art that in quickly disappearing.
