Rocky Mountain Rock & Roll 2007

This year's Rocky Mountain Seminar went well. It was great seeing old Friends and making new ones with in the Martial Realm. It was great to train with martial artists who know about fighting than those who claim to know about fighting. I had many questions in which we needed to cover from all the aspects of Danse De Rue Savate.

We covered Canne, Baton Lutte Parissienne as well as zipota. With all the fighting spirit of a great training hall. Each student trained to absorb the  techniques.

I saw several train to excel towards grasping material instead of training to look good.

One of the question was on the sugaar of  Danse De Rue Savate. In which I showed the applications of where you actually learned the manipulations for it.  The set is Embracing Guest.

This set teaches plenty from the inside controlling of the secondary and pelvictoral balance lines. Which are highly need to control most opponents. Once you attain the basic control you can deviate from a Lutte Parissienne way of thinking to a Savate: Boxe Francaise mentality.

I was asked to cover Canne in its true state. This was my pleasure do to the fact that many have never actually seen it before. The problem with the Savate Danse De Rue in general is that many compare it to Contemporary Savate or the recreated savate that is coming out of down under.

With basically no formal training many claim what is not theirs. We all laugh about such things and I am glad that there are people out there pro-claiming . This actually set us with much more of a technical and fighting standard that is incomparable.

It was a great pleasure to see guru Bob, Sifu Gall as well as Grand-master Mike Pick of the Universal Kenpo federation.

Sifu Pick stopped by to talk about knife fighting in general and to show us his array of designs which are meant for one thing only. Straight forward knife fighting that leaves one in front of our maker.

Here is a picture of what true martial humans as Sifu Pick says, look like. In what is a rare moment in time. Due to the many that clam to what is not theirs and frown on those who have both knowledge and technique.

This is not my opinion but a fact. Sifu Pick , Guru Bob an I have forgotten more about fighting and our arts. That the claimers will never acquire.

I want to thank all those present for coming out and listening in to a loon as what many of the pro-claimers call me. I guess its better than being called a pussy!

Thank you All

Prof. Buitron
